Zak Tag&Nacht
Zak Tag&Nacht is the pub on Am Wochenmarkt that is already open in the morning: breakfast until 1 pm, food at lunch and dinner, drinks until 1 am at the weekend. The website shows exactly that, depending on the time of day.
The brief
A pub with four faces: breakfast café, lunch spot, restaurant and bar. The site had to show all of them without turning into a pile of menu PDFs.
What I built
- Built on site
- I built the site right there in Zak, between breakfast and the after-work beer. That is why it fits the pub and not a template.
- Time travel
- The site switches between morning, noon, evening and night, matching what is on the menu right now.
- Open now?
- A live status with opening hours and the weather, so you know whether you will still get in.
- Daily specials
- Wheat beer day, draught day, mojito day: a ticker that follows the day of the week by itself.
- Table booking
- Book a table right on the site, with the phone number and notes for groups.
- Bigger text
- A switch for larger text, because the guests from breakfast to late night are very different.
- There for the team
- I help the staff get used to the new system, right there in the pub and whenever questions come up.
