Nine lives for your tech.
Curious by nature. Thorough by design.

Nine lives
Agencies build websites, PC services fix computers. I do both and run the servers behind them, so I know how it all fits together.

You are building something of your own. I know what that takes.
A bar, a shop, a club, a project of your own: when you build something like that, you have no time for tech that gets in the way. I am building something of my own too, so I know what matters. And your own website does not have to cost a fortune: websites start at €300.
- I make time.Need me to come by tomorrow? Sure thing.
- I capture the vibe.I built the Déjà Vu and Zak websites right there on site, in the middle of service. And at Zak I help the staff get used to the new system.
- I am reachable.Something breaks at 9 pm? Get in touch and I deal with it right away.
Zak Tag&Nacht
The website of a pub on Göttingen’s market square that serves breakfast in the morning and cocktails at night. With a live open/closed status, daily specials and table booking.
Déjà Vu
The complete website of a bar in Göttingen, with a back office for the staff and a few mini-games. Built by me and run on my own server.
folio Papeterie
A warm, welcoming shopfront site for a family stationery boutique open since 1985. No cookies, fast, and easy for the owners to update.
CSD Northeim
The website for the Pride march (Christopher Street Day) in Northeim: bilingual, with an easy-language mode and no trackers.
Furverse
A small studio building software for conventions and creative communities. On the team I look after development, the servers and the website.
Also involved with EasySystems (opens in a new tab) (Discord bots on 22,000+ servers), Jugendparlament Einbeck (opens in a new tab) (website and online election, 2021)
Tay is an engaged and motivated staff member of EasySystems. Their passion and experience is a really important part for the entire project. I can only recommend Tay for any collaboration, their experience and personality is a great addition for every team.
My own apps
What I build for myself I often put out for everyone else too. Free and without tracking.
FoundList
A calm Android todo app built for ADHD and autistic brains: no streaks, no guilt, type dates like “in 3 days”, and game elements only if you want them. Everything stays on the device.

A fast flight tracker for Android: see what is flying over you, search by registration and get alerted when a particular aircraft shows up. Open source, no account.
Try it: skyfox.taymaerz.de (opens in a new tab)Zest
A private search engine with instant answers, developer tools and Hoodini as an AI assistant. Searches are never stored.

Questions
Are you really just one person?
Yes. You always deal with me, from the first chat to the update two years later. And I am reachable: if you call at 9 pm because something is broken, I deal with it right away. If you need me to come by the next day, I come.
What does it cost?
Websites start at €300. Beyond that every project is different, so there is no price list: the first conversation is free, on a call or in person. For websites and apps I often bring a first draft, and we settle the price right then.
Do you help private clients too?
Yes. A new computer, Wi-Fi in every room, backing up photos or setting up a device for your parents: I come by or help remotely.
Do you come by, or is it done remotely?
Both. In and around Göttingen I come by. A lot is quicker remotely: you see everything I do on your own screen and can end the connection yourself at any time. One tip: real IT help never calls you out of the blue. If someone claims to be from Microsoft, just hang up.
What happens if you are unavailable?
I write down what I set up and build on common, open technology. Access, code and data belong to you, so someone else could take over in an emergency without starting from scratch.
Isn’t that too small a job for you?
No. A printer that won’t print holds up your day just like a server that goes down. I’m happy to do both.
Why self-hosted?
Because your customers’ data stays with you, and you do not pay every month for five services that together do the same job.
Do you take over existing websites and servers?
Yes. I look at what is there and then tell you honestly whether it is worth maintaining or whether a rebuild makes more sense.
Let me take a closer look.
Send me a short note about what you need. I get back to you fast, often the same day, and the first conversation is free.
